Oh, YUM

This morning I had an appointment with my ophthalmologist to check my peripheral vision, which was perfect, so we made an outing of the day. Lunch at Texas Roadhouse and some supply shopping. . . like spray paint, E6000, burlap, jute twine, blackboard spray paint, Easter eggs, Arm and Hammer washing soda, etc. WELL, I had this coupon that was burning a hole in my pocket, you see, Baskin Robbins is my favorite ice cream parlor and there was one near our shopping. The coupon was buy 1 cone get 1 cone FREE!! That is a GOOD deal and it will expire 4/16/11. It needed to be used and used it was.

Jamoca Almond Fudge, apparently a BR flavor since 1959, has been my favorite ice cream flavor since 1973. We lived on the north side of Indianapolis and a Baskin Robbins came into the strip mall a few blocks from our home… within walking distance. Our young children soon learned that if they wanted ice cream all they needed to do was start quietly chanting, “Jamoca Almond Fudge, Jamoca Almond Fudge, Jamoca Almond Fudge,” gradually getting louder. Soon mom would give in and off to Baskin Robbins our little troop would go. It worked more times than I care to admit. It has almost been a year since I last savored my favorite ice cream so I think it was okay. Papi had Pralines ‘n Cream which has been a BR flavor since 1970.
